My mother had died intestate, my two brothers had been living rent free in a home that was about to be crushed under the weight of mounting tax liens. The thought of anyone wanting to buy a dilapidated 100 year old home with old open permits (from 1947!) on the brink of foreclosure seemed impossible. As would the task of handling my deceased mother's affairs. It was all very stressful and I having no knowledge of what to do put my trust in Marc and Kathy (his super capable paralegal). He was knowledgable and patient as he set up the steps to have me appointed the administrator of my mother's estate, having my brother's sign the necessary waivers, and go forth with the sale of the home. He was always prepared for the worst as I hoped for the best. I am so very glad we chose him. My brothers cooperated and I was appointed administrator to the estate in what seemed like record time. He negotiated with the buyer and we were able to sell the home even with the open permit and violations that turned up in the title search. He prepared Informal Accounting to show each of us what we got from the sale so there would be no issues or questions. Marc's paralegal Kathy was truly amazing and helped clear many issues on the house, including judgments against my brothers, mortgages from 30 years ago (!), and the aforementioned open permits and violations. They communicated constantly with me, be it phone or email and I never felt in the dark. Plus anyone with the patience to ignore my energetic 2 and 3 year old at the initial meeting and maintain such razor focus explaining the steps to be done is a truly special and talented attorney. Closing was quick, and we received our proceeds the next week. It all seemed to happen so fast and they always had my best interests at heart and I am very grateful for the work that Marc and Kathy did for us.
