Update October 27, 2020 After Business Response: I...

Update October 27, 2020 After Business Response: I double checked my call history to confirm, and I called you, at your number, not the Maryland company you mentioned. I was able to verify your number in my call history, on your website, and in your Google business profile. I also double checked with State, which recommended I call you, and they confirm that your company is one they recommend to provide service and the other company you mention is not. I stand by my reviews, but if you contest any of the specifics please provide details.

Original Review: First, public service announcement: Capital Mechanical is not doing any home water heater service calls, at least until late May, maybe longer, due to Covid-19.

A completely reasonable policy -- everyone needs to do what they feel best for their own safety. I would have been happy to hang up and call someone else. But, unfortunately, it took half a day to find out about the policy.

I called last night and spoke to two people: their after-hours answering service, and their on-call emergency tech. Both of those people could have told me about the current no-residential-water-heater-service policy. Neither did, and instead of making other calls last night, I was waiting for a call back.

I checked their website, Google business profile, and the residential service voicemail tree and none of those spots includes the info either. I hope this review might help inform some folks, and save them similar delays before they start exploring other options.
