We were visiting London from the Boston US area with another couple, celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. Co-workers who are British recommended this restaurant. It was fabulous and we will definitely return to the OXO on any future visits to London. The food was very good, we had the Chateaubriand and the mash potatoes were to die for. However, what I was really impressed with was the service. It was almost like they anticipated our needs and were always close at hand to provide us with what we needed, but no so on top of us to seem like we were being rushed, quite the contrary. Our dinner reservation was for 9:30 pm on a Saturday. Just before dessert they set a table which had emptied by the window and moved us so we were closer to the magnificent view without us asking. We were there for 3 hrs and leaving close to 12:30 am and never were we once rushed to leave. Every suggestion our waitress made did not disappoint. It was worth every penny and I can tell you, that having the same quality of service and food in Boston would have been considerably more expensive.
