If you are visiting Honolulu I definitely recommend taking the time to visit the Polynesian Cultural Centre in Laie. My partner and I booked a shuttle that picked us up from Waikiki in the morning and took us to the centre. We did our own guided tour where you can walk around the different villages for the live shows which are very entertaining. My highlight for the day was the Luau and the night show "The Breathe of Life" is a must! It is the best live Polynesian show you'll find in the whole world.
