If you are looking for an MMORPG company that values the experience and satisfaction of its customers I encourage you to look elsewhere first! This was a disappointing experience in several ways. If Blizzard had worked with me, even perhaps offered some in game credit rather then just a total denial, I might have been more interested in revisiting their product and services in the future.

In 2016, I played with a game mechanic in World of Warcraft Legion that changed during patch 7.1. Just 3 days prior to the 7.1 patch I purchased a character boost ($60) for a character I intended on playing subsequent to the patch. After the 7.1 patch the game experience changed so much for me that I decided I no longer wanted to play the game, and discontinued my subscription. While most of the changes were posted prior to the patch, I didn't realize how much they would impact my game experience. I requested a refund for the character boost based on the unanticipated and stark change in the quality of my game experience and my consequent interest in cancelling my subscription. The refund was denied, they stated that their policy is not to refund electronic transactions, as they are final. I felt my request was reasonable, especially since the boost purchase was only three days past.
