Perhaps I don't understand the lease process. Full disclosure, this is my first time leasing and do not have any experience with BMWs, nor do I have any time away from work to go into dealerships to test drive. I have done a fair amount of online research and was looking for a 2 or 3 series sedan. Audi is buying back my diesel this week, so I need a car in a couple of days. Should be fairly easy, given that I am about as serious a customer as there is, right?

First call to sales resulted in an unintelligible voicemail. Second was a salesperson who was helpful, until:

"You need to make an appointment and come in."

"I can't, unfortunately"

"I don't do that (lease quote) over the phone. You have to come in."

Or not.
