Should you go? Definitely yes. There are several artifacts and models showcasing the horrors of the holocaust. However, I think that the museum could do so much more to exemplify the events during the holocaust. For example, when I came out of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, I left with all sorts of feelings against war and nuclear weapons. I was truly horrified. I've had a similar effect with the slavery part of at the African American history museum. I didn't feel like that in the Holocaust museum, the area of the concentration camps only dealt with beatings, gassing and creation which is awful in itself but I felt there was so much left unsaid. There was only small mention of experiments on twin kids, or other forms of torture, and I also felt there were little testimonials, at least to what I expected. This museum should be impactful, but I've had better exemplifications of the holocaust through "The Pianist", "Schindler's List", "The boy in the striped pijamas", and countless documentaries, "Auschwitz: The Nazis and the final solution" being one of the best.
