Got there when Rustic opened certainly accounting for the super attentive service and when I asked for some anchovies I got a huge portion which I greedily took back and savored for days in our swank bungalow at the Carneros Inn. After perusing the grounds we settled into a luxe inside booth and ordered a simple Penne that was perfect after I doctored it up with Francis namesake hot sauce and liberal amounts of parmigiano of course. There is also a fascinating collection of Olive Oil labels, cans and rare lithograph stones that is very special decorating the 4 corners of the restaurant.
The wine is just the frosting on the cake for this must visit attraction and although a little distance from party central Napa it got us to the top of the valley where we spent a memorable day visiting some of our favorite wineries heading South towards an early bed.
