Bobby C. Stoddard Review of Corey Helford Gallery
Free Hello Kitty art exhibit in LA!
Free Hello Kitty art exhibit in LA!
When I had breakfast with my friend, James, his wife alerted me to this Hello Kitty exhibit. It's free! Wow! Besides being a foodie town, Los Angeles is such a mecca for cultural awareness!
The Corey Helford Gallery is located in Boyle Heights. There's a free parking lot right in front of the entrance. Inside, the air-conditioned gallery is spacious, clean, and well-organized. It features other artists in the two side rooms. There's no need to sign in, but there's a guest book where patrons can leave a comment and a word of thanks!
I liked the cute, whimsical works of art. I didn't take photos of the eerie, spooky pieces. Along with the paintings and drawings, the 3-D items were interesting, too! For example, the crocheted Chinese lion Hello Kitty was intricately made!
If you'd like to see this exhibit which celebrates the 45th Anniversary of Hello Kitty, go soon! It closes on August 3, 2019.
