Let me preface by saying that Chelsea was fantastic to work with and it's a shame that things didn't work out the process before we walked out the door was great. We went to buy a new car, and found one I loved. We were pre approved by our credit union but they said they might be able to get us a better rate, I told them they could run our credit once to see, but I didn't want multiple inquires, they said of course.
We submitted all the paperwork to the CU and based on the NADA value of the car, they were coming up about $500 less than what we needed. I emailed Chelsea and asked if they could work on the price a little ( they only came down 500 originally) and she said she checked with her manager and they said no.
So I went and found another car and emailed back that we were going somewhere else. I then got and email and phone call from the manager saying they could work with us, when I said I wasn't sure because we found another car he said "I'm telling you I can work with you, what is the problem?" Which was quite off putting. If you could work with the price, you should have said so in the first place when I asked, not as I was walking away because it was best for me financially.
Lastly, I just got notifications that they ran our credit 6 times, not once like I had requested since we were pre approved already.
