We splurged and got a king suite for two nights in la Mesa, CA. It was awesome and staff was very friendly. The bed was comfy with several pillow options. My only complaint would be the the shower had no curtain (it was a Jacuzzi tub so maybe that's why) so water ended up all over the floor.
