The Walker is a fine institution with a historic sculpture garden and good public programs. You should definitely give it a visit if you've not been. That said, be aware that the artistic sensibilities are "modern" in the extreme. If you're thinking "MOMA modern," you're very likely to be disappointed. This isn't a place you'd go to see Magritte or Kandinsky in the gallery space, but Yoko Ono. That's not my taste, but yours may vary. Whatever your taste, go see the iconic garden and great building itself especially if you can plan to see one of the indoor/outdoor events or a specific exhibit.
