This place is awesome if you're interest in Rapid Transit history. Set inside an original Subway station, a few bucks entry is definitely worth it. Quite detailed bit of history surround the building of the NY MTS but the highlight is down on platform level.

They've displayed a large number of rolling stock most of which are open for you to take a look at. Many of them have the original advertisements of the time, which are always interesting to look at. I quite liked the model area too which shows new york buses and trams as well as old model locomotives.

This place is family friendly but I'm unsure about pushchair and wheelchair access..
