Called today to find out why my engine on my metic...

Called today to find out why my engine on my meticulously dealer maintained 2011 x3 is destroying itself. Mechanic says bearings and camshaft are leaving metal in the oil. No answer. Told that I cannot speak to a technician or engineer to find out why it is that BMW is still saying to change the oil every 15000 miles or 24 months for this vehicle. Vehicles 2014 and after are set at oil changes every 10,000 miles. I was thanked for my imput and told that my information would be used to make future vehicles better. Asked about a goodwill claim and told that with 110000 miles on the vehicle this would be unlikely, but any additional information, and the ability to file a claim would only be available after I spend another 160$ to have the engine diagnosed by the bmw dealer. Also filed complaint about BMW Westlake who outright lied and said that they never told me that I didn't need an oil change when I took it there last February. I have been there serveral times and every time they just check the stupid key fob and tell me what I want is unnecessary. It took me a while to figure out that I actually have to pay them to even look at the car. By then it was too late. Asked BMW point blank why one of their vehicles would destroy itself when it had been meticulously maintained. They referred me back to BMW service. Asked why and who recommended 15000 mile oil changes and customer service rep said the design of the engine allows for the long oil change intervals. BMW's have the reputation for long engine life which is why I bought this SUV. Why would they choose to ruin a reputation for excellence that took decades to build?
