Review of Napa Valley Wine Train

Disappointed. Overpriced.

Disappointed. Overpriced.

First, we didn't get the train advertised online for our tour. No white linen service even though we booked the most expensive tour.

Second, wineries were meh. Pushed wine membership way too much, spent way too much time on history of the winery(ies), and wines themselves were just ok. Left no time to visit the gift shop, enjoy grounds, etc.

Third, food on the train was a good attempt, but always cold. Had to send back 2 courses.

We ended up getting off the train at the last winery and finding our own way back.

For almost $400 a person I expected more. Fine for one time experience, but I will not be returning.

I do have to say, our server and maitre'd on the train were fantastic though. And the other guests were a blast to connect with.
