Holy heck, you can't be a Civil War buff and miss these battlegrounds. The visitor center is awesome, though it sucks that they charge you to see the films. Go to the scheduled programs, and not just the one for Fredericksburg! The rangers are awesome and will answer any questions you have. The battlesites are pretty well preserved even if some of them are getting encroached upon by the city. Take a stroll down one of the trails to learn more about the battles. Take the driving tour. There is a wealth of information inside these parks!
