How this place has managed anything over two stars...

How this place has managed anything over two stars is beyond me. I have stayed here at least ten times over the past two years (business) and am always disgusted. The rooms are filthy and in need of repair. Torn wallpaper, mismatched old furniture, boogers and dirt covered walls, smelly carpets, noisy malfunctioning heating systems that smell and more are a common and expected occurrence. Upon my initial arrival very late last night, I walked into my room only to find it was still a disaster from the last occupant. Including bloody tissues in the bathroom, and an unmade disheveled bed. The next room they assigned had been "cleaned" by staff in the sense there were towels and a made bed but still it is not clean and again the wallpaper is torn. The free breakfast my children and I received at the amber grill was appalling to the point my son commented we should have been paid to eat it. It was not even remotely as described on the menu. The waitress herself looked ashamed to be serving it. So why do I keep returning? I travel with my children and the pool slide appeals to them. However, during our last visit, the pool was filled with non hotel occupants of a low caliber and was well over capacity. This visit, the slide is not even being operated. As a result, I have no reason to tolerate the uninhabitable rooms. I will never return to this dump, it is truly deplorable and the condition worsens every time we return.
