Bussie bought from them a month ago. Take a test drive first. The car was put down so that it could get on and off.
Drove well so bought bussie.
When I get home I remove the key from the ignition. Went back in with a lot of effort and didn't want to turn around. The ignition lock was finally worn out.
I contacted Smeeing for this hidden defect. I was informed that I had bought the car without a guarantee so they would charge for the replacement of the ignition.
Unfortunately, it says in the Civil Code that you can expect a properly working item from goods purchased for the value that I have paid for them. (Quite handy if you have a girlfriend who has been a lawyer for 20 years)
Two hours of talking with a lad of effe 20 years old working at Smeeing. He kept his leg stiff. The seller there. Also did not want to give way. That ended with a 50/50 deal. I did not accept that. In between, I made an offer that they supplied the lock ( 500, - ex VAT) and that I would put it in. They accepted that. (10 minutes work. Easy money, Smeeing).
Car purchased through a lease company that cooperates with Smeeing. Chaos too. Still not received a contract from them.
And as a nice surprise, a bill from the lease company of 150 for administration costs. Is therefore not communicated by the selling party (Smeeing)
I know that car dealers are crooks, but I didn't expect that from such a company.
Make 599 roadworthy. (New MOT 19.95 and name set 9.91 included) For a few mats with their name on it. A sticker on the back window and the license plate holder with their name on it.
The rear tires were on a 3 mm profile. Legally sufficient. But a set of tires does not cost them that much. I'd rather have had a few tires. Then they can come and pick up the mats again ....
