I called Spengler to come out and give me an estimate on a variety of plumbing I needed done. The man they sent was okay. But he had a strange idea about cutting a hole in my bedroom wall to put a shutoff valve for the outside spigot, rather than in the basement where the pipe are easily seen. Then he wouldn't give me with in a day because he knew I was having other plumbers come out for estimates. He wanted to give me the quote the following Monday, a week after my appointment. I gave him the benefit of the doubt but told him I wanted the quote by Friday. Friday comes and goes and nothing. Monday comes and goes nothing. An entire week goes by and nothing. So I call and I speak to a woman who says my guy is on vacation and she'll call me back. another week goes by and I don't get a phone call. So I call back. She says she has called me but I didn't have a voice mail set up. Well, as it turns out she wrote down the wrong number. Instead of doing her due diligence and checking my file to see if the number was correct she waited for me to call her. This wouldn't bother me but Spengler talks about being a paperless company. So surely, my name and number on are on file...after all when I made the appointment I had to call and give them my name, phone number and address. But to top it off she tells me she still didn't have the quote. A month later. Excellent Customer service, I'd say. If I can't trust you to do a simple thing like give me a quote then why in the world would I ever trust you to come to my house and do repair work? Shoot, even if I went with Spengler at the rate they turn things around it would be 6 months before they'd even show up to do the work and they'd probably go to the wrong house. Spengler, thanks but no thanks.
