If i had the opportunity to give the woods zero stars I would!! The managers in the office SUCK. They are never in the office, they do not respond to emails, and they do not answer any calls. It is like they do not care about their residents, but only getting paid.
I have mold in my room for a SECOND time and they do not seem to care. My vent in my room was leaking and maintenance took a week to come take a look. Then, they said that they would be back to take a look at it so my ceiling would not mold and they never did. It took them forever to come back out and fix the mold and they left my room a MESS with paint chipings etc.. Now, I have mold in a different part of my ceiling and I want to AT LEAST move out of this mold unit into another one and they refuse to let me. It seems like maintenance only wants to come do their job if they are only working in the kitchen because they love to steal kitchenware. I have 3 spoons and several of my friends has reported their cups, forks, and spoons stolen.
The maintenance and the managers are not the only people terrible people at this apartment but the security is too. Last semester, one of the security guards opened my front door and came in my unit without being invited. That is partly our fault for leaving the door open, but who would expect someone violating my personal space. He proceeded to bang on all the doors in our apartment and got in a confrontation with one of my roommates, who security guard never met before. Where does the woods find their staff from and do they even do check references???
Another terrible experience is when my A/C broke one evening and when I called for someone to come fix it immediately they said it was not an emergency because it was not 85 degrees outside. Even though my thermostat said it was 87 degrees in my apartment, they refused to send someone. First of all, we live in Texas and if it is 80 degrees outside plus humidity it is uncomfortably hot. It took 5 days after me calling, emailing, and putting several work orders in for someone to finally fix the a/c. Currently we are also having a bug problem and the office supposedly called for an exterminator to come LAST WEEK and no one has yet to knock on my door.
I can go on about not only my terrible experience but my friends as well and this is not the place you want to live. There are apartments that look EXACTLY like woods and are closer to campus that people should sign instead of here. I do not want to live some where that I do not feel safe.
