The pre surgical planning and visits, day of surgery experience, and post-op to ortho floor hospital stay for my bilateral knee surgery was EXCEPTIONAL! Medical City Mckinney excels in patient care in every area. The utmost concern was given to me from beginning to end of my stay. The education pre and post surgery was vital in my understanding in preparing for my surgery and stay. The nursing care lacked NOTHING, the empathy and skilled care post op during those first days with my new knees was of the very highest quality. I was literally cared for by experienced and patient advocate driven RNs. Tara, RN on night shift and Grace, RN on days shift kept me safe, pain free, educated and informed while I was on the ortho unit. Dr Brian Snow was the surgeon who I trusted and he delivered my new knees. I am forever thankful for my stay at Medical City Mckinney. After my stay I was discharged and admitted into the Medical City Mckinney Rehabilitation Hospital which is next door. This brand new facility and the team running my rehab plan surpassed any and all of my preconceived ideas. This Rehabilitation Hospital should be anyone s destination of choice if rehab is needed. Dr Avers and the PT, OT and nursing care take yoy from surviving to THRIVING!!!!! I never thought I could achieve so much mobility in one week. This team was professional and compassionate and COMMITTED to my success. I am humbled and grateful for each of the persons who cared for me personally. The ancillary staff is wonderful too. Food and Nutrition services provided daily menu planning personally and the food was fantastic. Thank you Marlon. James from pastoral care prayed for me and with me and his presence and spiritual support was vital. During the terrible snow storm I was warm and kept safe. All these people showed up to work and I am so very thankful for their passion to provide care to me.
The culture at MCM is amazing. This is the place to go for any and all healthcare needs.
