Purchased an LG Refrigerator in Sept of 2017 from ...

Purchased an LG Refrigerator in Sept of 2017 from Best Buy for $3000. We stayed with LG Warranty as we had LG appliances before and they were never a problem. In late March of 2020 we came home to a mess on our kitchen floor. All of the $500 worth of steaks and other food had totally defrosted and had to be tossed. We started to contact LG but all we got was excuses that Covid would not let them do anything about it. We wanted to get warranty coverage on the unit but we have not been able to get anyone to our home to even look at it. At least three separate case numbers were issued. After attempting and failing to get a national service company to do something one agent said we should try to get it fixed locally. We tried two vendors that refused to touch the unit saying they did not want to get involved with LG. We went to Best Buy and talked to the manager who was a complete nothing, not wanting to do anything but give us an 800 number. So much for buying anything from them.

Finally we got a reply saying they would give us a settlement. It was not going to cover replacing the food we lost but we accepted according to their directions. We were told that we would hear within three business days. That was over two months ago. We have called and been left on the line for over two hours before they hung up on us. We sent many emails to customer service and they have gone unanswered. We are at a loss as senior citizens that have gone without a refrigerator all during this Covid period. Don't ever buy LG is all we can say.
