Got a pair of sunglasses from the Maui Jims corpor...

Got a pair of sunglasses from the Maui Jims corporate office in Lahaina a couple of months ago.. Same style I have been using for close to 20 years. A few weeks ago noticed that one arm bends every time I put the sunglasses on.. This pair has hinged arms and the metal seems to be so soft that s the frame bends before the hinge opens. Like I said I ve had many of the exact same sunglasses before. I ve smashed them and bent them back into shape a bunch of times and they were fine. I ve paid for replacements when I mess up and paid for replacement lenses when I damage them. This pair was only weeks old and the metal seemed so soft ( obviously defective) I wanted to take them back befor it broke and they just say I broke it.
I went in today and explained my situation today the young lady, she took the sunglasses in back, and returned less than a minute later... She said that the metal was weakened because I had been bending it... It was ABUSE on my part and NOT covered. I was shocked they would not honor a warranty on a product I had gotten from THEM only weeks earlier. I m in shock... after 20+yrs of faithful service and what I felt WAS excellent customer service, we have come to a child telling me that I broke my defective $250 sunglasses playing with it. I m done with overpriced Maui Jims!!
