Worst Decision Ever!

Went with Republic Services because I was getting a lot of missed pickups from my previous vendor (American). This turned out to be a terrible move for me.

I met with Henry the sales guy on 6/25. He agreed to deliver cans and start service on 7/1. That date came and went, and no cans were delivered.

Cans eventually arrived nearly 2 weeks late. In fairness, they were brand new and clean -- very nice.

Despite the late start, I decided to give them a second chance.... and I've regretted it ever since. They missed the regularly scheduled pickup on Monday 7/15. I called their office on 7/16 and spoke with Gloria, who apologized and said they would pickup tomorrow. That didn't happen.

Called on 7/18 and spoke with Aces. She apologized and said they would pick up tomorrow or the following day. Again, no pickup.

Called again on 7/22, which at this point was our regular pickup date again. Spoke to Taylor, who indicated that its our regular pickup date and that we'd have no problem. Wrong again!

I called again on 7/23 and talked to Tia, who apologized and said they would pick up again the following day. When I questioned if this was true, I was offered an opportunity to talk to the manager, which I gladly accepted. I spoke to Val, who indicated that she would talk to someone else and get back to me.

Val did call me back at 4PM, but only to tell me that she was told, 'they will resolve it very soon.' She and I both didn't know what that meant.

At this point, I've gone 4 weeks with no trash service. I pre-paid in advance, and fear that my only recourse will be to notify them that they are in breach of contract and to file a civil action to get my money back. I do not recommend using Republic Services.
