Crossfit always scared me when my friend always us...

Crossfit always scared me when my friend always used to talk about it. I always thought he was crazy! That was until in May of 2014, I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. I thought to myself How? how could this have happened? I worked out at the gym every day! But in reality, I set my nutrition on the back burner and never gave it a second thought. So when I got diagnosed, I knew I had to do something radical. So I joined Crossfit! Within 3 days, my blood sugar had dropped from 310 (which is where it was at when I was diagnosed) back down to 110 (which is normal). Within a month I was off of one of my diabetes medication. Within 3 months I was no longer considered a diabetic! Now granted I also did severely change by diet but the people at the gym helped me learn what to eat. I thought what I knew was healthy but I was completely wrong and everyone there has helped me live a better more natural life. Since I have joined I have also lost over 50 lbs as well as off of all my depression medication and will be getting off metphormin (blood sugar regulator) this summer. I owe some much to Matt, Brittney, Stacy, Nate, Rachel, Jim, Dave,Hank, and Emily. They push me to be better every day and to help me achieve my bodies full potential. I sincerely look up to these people as well as the other athletes at the gym because the mindset that goes along with Crossfit is to achieve the over all best person you can be and everyone there has achieved greatness. This pushes me in the hope that one day I can achieve the level of greatness I see everyone else achieving on a regular basis. They are honestly like a second family to me.
