Fantastic school district academically, students consistently test above state and national average. The biggest drawbacks of the school is the lack of awareness (or care) for working families. Despite charging substantially higher registration fees ($350+ for middle school and $250+ for elementary school) in comparison to school districts in the area, this school district fails to provide bus service for students, hot lunch, and after school activities for elementary students. As a single parent on a very limit income, I must pay a sitter $500+ monthly simply to drive my two students home from school. A bus service would eliminate this expense for me. The school doesn t provide an option for hot lunch so students must bring their lunch everyday. There is an option for fun lunch twice a week but that is also costly for a single parent on a limited income. Therefore, my students must be one of the very few who cannot participate while a vast majority do. The district caters to high income families with little regard for working families, let alone single parent households. The district also handled COVID quite poorly. Personally, I ve been extremely dissatisfied with the school district.
