Richard Ellis Review of Jamie's Union Jacks

I had travelled from Macclesfield, leaving home at 8am, earlier in the day by train and decided to hop on a tube from Euston to have a coffee at Covent Market. On arrival I came across Buns Buns that looked perfect. I awaited to be seated and was asked if I wanted lunch? It was about 11am and so I explained that I just wanted coffee and pastry. This was accepted. I was lead to be table and duly served coffee and croissant (warm). Shortly adterwards, another couple were seated next to me and when asked what they wanted, they also wanted breakfast, but were refused. They could clearly see what I had and were willing to pay. I couldn't see a problem, but the waiter was unwilling to take their order. The customers from Turkey (I think?) were lovely and explained that they didn't want lunch and only wanted like me, breakfast type items. I felt embarrassed for myself and also upset that there was a lack of flexibility by Buns Buns to reconsider and simply ask the chef and try to find a solution. The other customers were FORCED to leave as no solution was reached. The waiter thought I was being very kind to try and facilitate a solution. I expressed my upset and disappointment. I felt quite ashamed to be honest. I asked for my bill that was over 8GBP, finished my coffee and croissant as soon as I could to leave. As I past the waiter who acknowledged customers in front of me, he chose to ignore me. I said "thank you" and "goodbye" I'm unsure if I would ever want to return?
