At the emergency room for high blood pressure. Blood pressure still up and no meds given. Requested it be rechecked and still waiting. While getting checked in, the emergency room tech was obtaining information and the visit had been fine up until this point. I realized I didn't have my insurance card and offered to get the insurance contact info out to my car so I could call. I assumed she would say we could take care of it later once my blood pressure was stable. But she says that would be fine. I walked to my car and returned out of breath. I was calling the insurance carrier to get the information requested by Receptionist Jenny S. She became rude and disrespectful. Kept interrupting me while on the phone getting my insurance info. Expected me to get lab drawn while on the phone with the insurance company getting info she initially requested. I finally asked which do you want me to do because I'm trying to write down the info that you requested. The lab tech was just as rude and unprofessional. Still waiting to get my blood pressure addressed. Please don't come to this hospital. Im tempted to call an uber to take me to another hospital. The nurse and doctor were great but the receptionist Jenny S and patient care tech Latrice were unprofessional and rude. This is not a hospital to be at if you are sick. I've been a nurse for a long time and this is the first hospital that made nervous and want to leave and take my chances at another hospital or urgent care.
