Their customer service leaves much to be desired. Particularly the Manager, who already seemed bothered by me before I even asked my question. Then when I followed up with a call to the customer service center (which this manager was quick to refer me to), the representative I ended up being transferred to was just as apathetic that it bordered on rude. My move to Buffalo just a year ago was seamless when I used Penske and the only reason I booked a Uhaul this time around (a month in advance) is because it was slightly closer to my apartment than Penske....turns out I should've just stuck with Penske because I just found out that my Uhaul reservation was changed this morning (note: 48hrs prior to my scheduled pickup) and noone bothered to inform me of this change until I happened to walk in to check on the reservation earlier. Now I have to pick it up 30 mins away. In their defense, the site does state that customers only select their PREFERRED pick-up location, but I still think one deserves a courtesy call when your preferred location is switched to 20 miles out. Terrible customer service. Lesson learned: stick with the brand/company you trust. And for me, Penske is it. So much so that I feel the need to write them an awesome review now that I have a comparison. Do better Uhaul.
