I booked 2 hotels rooms for 1 night at the Aston.
One non-smoking Business Suite for my husband and I + One non-smoking Deluxe Breakfast for my colleague. All three of us have stayed at various hotels throughout Indonesia and we all three agreed that this was by far one of the best experiences.
The rooms are truly NON-SMOKING. At other hotels non-smoking rooms tend to smell of ash and smoke, however not at the Aston. The Aston hotel has 3 floors that are designated to be non-smoking and they issue a fine of Rp2,000,000 (Approx. USD 150) to those who violate this policy. We were so grateful for it because the room was fresh and breathable. I'm currently pregnant and this was truly a non-negotiable option.
The Aston hotel is CLEAN! There are no foul smells or random bugs in the bathroom or in the room. Our colleague who stayed in the non-Smoking Deluxe agreed that the first thing she noticed was that the room was exceptionally clean with no foul smells or odors. We were truly impressed, because again our experience at other hotels in this region have been a bit of a disappointment in terms of cleanliness, but not here. The Non-Smoking Business Suite has a nice clean bathtub for those of you who enjoy to take a soak. There is also a wonderful stand up rain shower. Everything worked and the water was hot.
Wi-Fi we do a lot of business on the go and there was a Wi-Fi router in both our rooms. Which was great for emails and strong enough to stream a movie without a problem.
Bed The non-smoking Business suite came with a King bed that was super comfy. We had a great night s rest. We requested a Queen for the non-smoking Deluxe and my colleague said she felt very refreshed.
Breakfast they have a great layout of options for breakfast that include traditional Indonesian cuisine and Western comforts like waffles, pastries, jams and for those that like eggs you can request your eggs to order from the kitchen at no extra cost. Coffee and tea is served to you at the table by one of the friendly attendants.
Room Service the menu had a balance of options. I order a burger and my husband order some fried rice. We were both satisfied. Our colleague went to the SCP mall to grab some dinner which can be accessed from the hotel.
Customer Service hotel staff are friendly and kind. We definitely felt welcomed. I would highly recommend this hotel to those that are traveling through this region.
