This place turned a quick trip into a stressful mission. We booked through booking.com, which says that it's pet friendly with no further mention. When we arrived, the person at the desk told us we needed a rabies certificate for our dog or we would not be allowed to stay. She called her manager and was able to place us in the "banquet hall" inn building for an additional fee under the condition that we faxed a copy of the rabies certificate as soon as we got home. We asked about paying in advance for a late check out since we were planning on climbing Mt Monadnock in the morning. She insisted it would be fine for us to check out between 12 and 12:30 and would not incur any fees. We had booked a queen room and instead got two full beds after the switch. We went and climbed Monadnock in the morning and got back at noon. We tried to take a quick shower but the water was ice cold and the exhaust fan smelled like an electrical fire. We were packing and about to head down to check out when we got an irritated phone call from the front desk saying she needed to leave and we were supposed to check out at 11. We promptly left and will not return. The grounds need a little work but it was the challenging interactions with the staff that left a poor impression.
