Wow. Absolutely terrible customer service. We came for brunch on a quiet Saturday -- maybe 5 other parties in the room. We weren't even addressed for 15 minutes, just watched the waiters go back and forth with no acknowledgment.

Finally, a head waiter/manager? asked a waiter to take care of us. That waiter visibily shook her head and said no, she's too busy. I wish I could refuse to work at my job! Reader, there were 4 working waiters and 5 tables. Not busy.

THEN we asked if the paper menus were thrown away or at least cleaned in some way. She said no. She then proceeded to tell us she's not worried about coronavirus -- her kids run around and touch everything.

THEN she proceeded to say "Whatever happens will happen." This is not appropriate to say to guests, especially during a pandemic.

Here's the problem. The hotel proudly boasts a "clean" experience. They have posters bragging about it on the front doors. So when an employee blatantly shows no regard for patron safety -- that's a red flag that this hotel is all talk.

Guess what, everyone is overworked and understaffed. But you don't take that out on customers, especially if you're working for tips.

Very disappointed in this "4-star" hotel's wait staff. Time for retraining or rehiring.

UPDATE:

Went to the bar on the second night to order drinks. There were 7 other patrons there -- I counted. We ask the bartender for recommendations on mixed drinks. He says, and I quote, "It will have to be a tequila shot at this point. I don't have time". Reader, there were only 7 other people at the bar.

So we pick a drink from the menu and ask for it To-Go. He gives us the drinks in small cups filled to the brim. We politely ask for 2 bigger cups so we can pour the drinks in there (so as not to spill while walking).

He literally huffs at us, walks over to the other side of the bar (poor guy, it's such a long walk ), grabs 2 larger cups and slams them on the counter in front of us. I'm not exaggerating.

We then say thanks, hope you have a good day. He mutters "Yeah whatever, I doubt it."

I cannot believe the lack of customer service at this hotel. How do they function in a non-covid environment when the restaurant's packed and the bar has 50 people?? Absolutely atrocious.

Also, drinks were terrible and brunch food wasn't worth the price. $12 for plain pancakes?? Don't go here.
