I was in the ER last night and I really should have known that this hospital provides zero care to patients. My past expereinces have lead me to beleive this but this is the closest hospital to my house and its been so long since I've been here, I actually thought something may have changed. I woke up at 2am with a severe sore throat, can't swollow, can't breath, and I have no voice. My husband drove me to the ER, they got me in relatively quickly (hence the one star). The doctor says, "we're gonna get you all fixed up", and then gave me something to open my throat...that did nothing. They took an x-ray, did a strep swab...and then basically said its nothing..possibly some virus. They said elevate your head, drink water, while handing me a $700 bill. They spent more time on the insurance and trying to get their money then actually " getting me all fixed up". I spent 4 hours in the ER came out feeling the exact same as I did when I went in....just worse due to the $700 medical bill and zero "fixing up" happened. I seriously don't understand how this hospital is still open. What happened to actually helping people?
