In the future I will sort out all providers who send via DPD.
After the first delivery was unsuccessful (I was unfortunately working), I received the information that the parcel would be handed over to the parcel shop located in the immediate vicinity. Until then, everything is no problem and absolutely fine and has been practiced several times.
The fact that I then suddenly get the information a day later, instead of the delivery notice to the parcel shop, that my parcel is on its way back to the shipper because it could not be delivered is in no way understandable to me. I can't help but think that the employee was either unable or unwilling to do his job.
The fact that a package is sent back to the sender after just one delivery attempt is, in my opinion, an outrage.
But that is not enough.
After I asked the sender to resend the goods and successfully redirected them to the parcel shop just 500m away using the DPD app to avoid disaster like the first time, the delivery was made to a completely different parcel shop several kilometers away.
This information was only given to me by email. Lt. Shipment tracking in the DPD-APP was delivered to the parcel shop I selected. If I had relied on the delivery notification of the APP I would have been in the wrong parcel shop.
After a successful pick-up, I received the information in the evening that the delivery had unfortunately not been successful and the package was going back to the sender.
To this day, I have received no useful response to my complaint to DPD, apart from a standard text that is not suitable. Attempted solution on the part of DPD, none.
