I was lured by their low rates but I must say that the followup service was bad.
The low rates are a ploy to attract new customers, then they rip you off at renewal time.

I had 2 bad experiences with DirectAsia, which makes me believe that they have low levels of integrity.
Incident 1: I bought a policy for 2 motorcycles and 1 car. Initially they gave me a 10% dicsount on the second motorcycle, but after a year when I tried to renew they refused to give me the discount saying that it is not applicable to renewals. Surprisingly, there is no such disclaimer on their website, which says that you will get 10% off on your second policy.

Incident 2: I scrapped one motorcycle in Jan-2014. When I requested them to refund the unused insurance, they charged me a hefty admin fee of $50. I requested them for a waiver as I already have 3 policies with them. I also told them that their admin fees are not in line with industry standards, other insurers like AXA only charge 20-30 bucks. I was told that although they waive off fees on a case by case basis, they would not wave it in my case. I requested to speak to an escalation contact but was turned down.

All in all, I feel that this is a penny wise pound foolish company. They just want to rope you in with a slightly lower rate and then screw you when you try to renew / modify your policy. Buyer beware.
