I manage an apartment community in Montgomery County. One of our problems was the unauthorized use of the dumpsters in our community. It was being used both by non-community members as well as our resident for improper dumping. In one year alone the additional cost of removing such items exceeded our budget by more than $6,000. I could not accept that this was a cost of doing business and looked for a solution. I called about 10 security services providers, many did not even return my call. The camera system installation cost was far less than my annual cost for bulk trash removal. I expect to save the money I spent on the surveillance system within a few months. It's a win win. My property does not have unsightly bulk trash sitting around my dumpster areas and I continue to save on bulk item removal fees. I couldn't be happier with it.
