I have to give praise to Kaiser. They took care of me when I was completely paralyzed and without the ability to speak. I was completely aware of everything and still felt pain. I remember the ambulance and the helicopter ride to Stanford and remember being in a weird room, my head, surrounded by these articulating panels, and nurses in full garb telling me to be still.
Stanford pulled the clots out of my brain in that window of opportunity that doctors scream about. We need more of these systems around the US. They save lives and give you back most of what you were, pre-stroke. My experience has taught me alot.....God Bless

3 years later, I'm still pressing on in life. All is good. My hiking days are done but I still love getting out on my own. I understand my limitations but now see everything through a different lens....

2020 update:
After a whole body paralyzing triple stroke, without the ability to speak; thanks to Stanford, I'm working at Samsung Austin Semiconductor transversing 4.5 million square feet of wafer fabrication and responsible for billions of dollars worth or equipment. Thank you Stanford.....
