We were very excited for this stop on our list. However, were very disappointed. The museum seemed to be put together with poor thought and seemed more like a holding pen until we were allowed into the theatre.
While the box that Lincoln was in was really fascinating, most of the information we got was through our own googling after the presentation. Our park ranger spoke so quickly and paced back and forth, it was difficult to hear what he was saying. He also seemed to just be going through the motions, and wasn t interested in what he was doing.
Because of the number of large groups, we decided to forego the Petersen House, as they only allow 15 people in at a time.
The highlight of this experience was when the ranger the crowds left, and we were able to walk down to view the box that Lincoln sat in the night of his assassination.
