We're very regular visitors the HV, so are quite familiar with the local restaurant offerings around the valley. Goldfish was a really pleasant surprise. We always thought if it more as bar than a restaurant. Turns out it's well above average as both. Food was very good standard. We had some shared entrees and the seafood board which were all good. Maybe the calamari and chips were a little too obviously frozen products which let the dish down a bit. Good selection of local wines. And, of course cocktails which are expertly mixed. Service was friendly and folksie which is normal for regional centres. Not as slick with finer points of service (didn't present or sample wine, mains came before they cleared entree) but friendly and attentive enough.
