Hello, I'm not going to tell you about the trips of this brand but rather about the way in which the "Director" Mr. Helion de Villeneuve conducts the "job interviews", which ultimately says a lot about the character and his manner of treat people and therefore customers (and their problems ...) After a very good interview with the Financial Director at the time (1h30) who offered me to visit the premises (rather a good sign), we met Mr de Villeneuve in the stairs. The latter knows that I come from one of the most beautiful tour operators on the Place de Paris. He asks me questions and says bitter things about people in my company; I tick. He asks me about my knowledge of Africa: I tell him that I know North Africa, Senegal, Sierra Leone well ... He stops me by saying: No, I ask you if you know Africa ? I don't quite understand where he is coming from because we cannot know an entire continent all the same ... he asks me the same thing for the 2 Americas. I tell him which countries I know best. Before he could even develop, he said to me: Finally you don't know anything. A little taken aback, I understand that he does not want to hire me (why? I will never know) and I answer him that if he meets a person who knows an entire continent, he must keep it preciously because personally and in all honesty I don't know of any, even in tourism. He answers me without batting an eyelid: You know, I was the director of the French Polynesia tourist office and I know every nook and cranny. Yes, well, it is not all the same a continent, a little ridiculous as a remark. He turns around, grabs all of his company brochures, throws them on the table and asks me to learn everything before coming back for an interview, maybe one day. Going down with the CFO, the latter apologizes flatly by telling me that he does not understand what is going on and that he will come back to me anyway. Nothing. So here is the person who oversees this company, not very pretty pretty ... Professionally: I had a little trouble getting up from this interview. Do whatever you want with this testimony, but it's not that off topic.
RESPONSE TO MR DE VILLENEUVE
Sir,
you are right on one point. It was not the Financial Director who gave me the interview but the Deputy Managing Director Mr. Olivier Larue, who obviously did not have much weight under your yoke since he had every intention of hiring me, before our interview.
For the rest, I don't have to argue. You had the contempt to ask me questions about destinations that you did not do when I am an island specialist and not a junior. In my opinion in human relations, there is no difference between a person to hire and a client; respect is the key word and you probably don't have it. This is where true ethics lie, sir.
Congratulations on your title of best TO of 2018.
