I casually walked into Mega Mortgage's new office in Des Plaines while waiting to get my oil changed at the garage next door. My husband and I own 4 properties (1 personal and 3 rentals) and regularly monitor the interest rate environment, actively refinancing when it makes monetary sense. We had a long-term broker relationship with another group so I had little intention of switching when I walked in - just wanted to get a quote to make sure my current relationship was competitive. Turns out, Mega Mortgage was incredibly competitive, so much so that we immediately locked in a rate and refinanced. I tried to get my prior broker relationship to match Mega's rate but they couldn't do it...

The entire underwriting process was extremely seamless - much less so that prior refinances we've done. We worked with Artur Bartosik from beginning to end so no passing off to more junior folks that don't have a good sense of the process; if you've ever refinanced with a big bank, you know how amazingly frustrating this can get. My husband moved jobs over the summer, so employment verification/salary could have been a pain, but Artur and team understood the situation without a hitch. Also, Artur responds to my texts (my preferred method of communication) which I appreciate. At close, Artur came to our home to sign documents which was much more convenient since we have young kids so didn't have to arrange childcare.

With the recent rate drop this week, Artur at Mega Mortgage is pricing out additional quotes for our other properties which is likely to result in a second transaction within a month! Couldn't be happier that I casually walked into Mega's new office - great relationship-focused group of individuals that provide superior pricing.
