I had a great experience at US Outdoor store this past weekend when I needed adjustments done to my ski boot. Walking in, I was immediately and cordially greeted by an employee, a surprise considering the reviews I had read when I was looking up directions to this place. When I walked to the back, Ben, a boot technician, immediately greeted me and began listening to the issues I had been having with my boots and suggested several innovative options that would address my needs. After about an hour, the modifications were made. I skied that night and they were great, even though I had recently switched from Lords to AC50's (much stiffer ski requiring more pressure to control and carve). I will definitely be coming back here.

As a corollary, I think I can understand some of the negative reviews. The person who rung me wasn't nearly as cordial as Ben or some of the other staff, and seemed "too cool" for us; I could imagine that some of the staff might not be as helpful and perhaps condescending, but I had a great experience and wanted to contribute to the reviews on here.
