Get there before 9am to avoid tourists from cruises!!
The more history and background you have about the Parthenon the more you will appreciate the ruins.
However, the view is fantastic and worth going just for that.
I don't usually get thrilled by museums but its architecture is award winning and has many interesting artifacts.
