When deciding to buy a new car, I went to all 3 Subaru dealers in the area. I told them all the same thing. I am buying my car today, so give me your best price and if it is the lowest, I will be back before the day is out to buy it. The first dealer said "they didn't play those games" and I walked out. At the second dealership, the salesman was pleasant, but the manager was not. He told me that "if you are just shopping price, come back and we will beat any price, but I won't give you a solid price up front." So the salesman wrote down a number that he was sure he could do. Then I went back to Dan at Auto Nation, where I had test drove a car with him 2 weeks previously. Dan was wonderful. He gave me a great deal, didn't push me to buy a bunch of "fluff", and explained and went over all the features of the car so I would know how to operate the features. I was very, very pleased with the service and attention that I received at Auto Nation from Dan Carne. He is very thorough and not pushy as many salesmen are. I am in sales also, real estate, and I am not a pushy sales person and don't like dealing with salespeople that are, so I was very comfortable with Dan and trusted him to do "good" by me.
