I have owned and operated a small business in South Pasadena for 20 years. On May 20, 2020, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, someone from this business came in to ship a package to Marina Del Rey. It was very large and valuable. Because of our insurance requirements we indicated that it needed to be shipped next day air. We stressed to him because of the Pandemic, UPS next day and second day air services were no longer guaranteed (money Back guarantee). He said he understood but did not have time to take it himself, and would go ahead and send it via UPS Next day air. Because of extremely high volume the package was delayed and ended up being delivered on May 22, one day late. One month later I find that the charge for the shipment was charged back on his credit card. Now, I have to spend the time to dispute this. I am an independent business (a franchise) and I would have hoped they could have spoken to me first, before reversing the charge on this transaction.
I am operating my business during this crisis, providing essential services to my customers and it is very disheartening to be treated like this.
