UT Dallas was one of several schools I applied to for grad school. But, along with Texas Tech, UT Dallas was one of the ones that failed to finish processing my application. After some initial correspondence, I never got any official response. No letter of acceptance/rejection or anything. They gladly took my application fees though. All the transcripts I submitted weren't cheap either.

I ended up going to a different grad school, so maybe you could say it doesn't matter, but thinking back on what happened, wasn't it illegal for UT Dallas to take my application fees without ever processing my application? I still remember the name of the guy I submitted my documents to, Robert Stern of the Department of Geosciences. Somewhere in his office, he probably still has my unprocessed application documents. Don't apply to UT Dallas.
