I'll start by saying, this hotel is very beautiful...

I'll start by saying, this hotel is very beautiful in the lobby, their club, and has the perfect location, but the good stops there. The man at the front desk (Alonso) was rude when we checked in and rude every time I approached him afterwards asking when the room would be ready. Luckily someone else talked to me and checked me in (what was Alonso waiting for?!). The room was so underwhelming; it lacked basic amenities like a fridge, coffee maker in the room, and a mattress that doesn't feel like it's an original from when the hotel opened in 1928 (but they did have a used yoga mat..the most coveted amenity...) The mattress was bad, like painful to move the next morning bad. We switched rooms to see if it helped and no, another 1928 original. We encountered Alonso one more time before we left and he still had the same pompous, unwillingness to be helpful attitude. I think he was the only bad egg in the bunch because housekeeping and concierge were super nice.

Anyway long story longer, don't stay here unless you like paying alot for literally nothing and you already have a massage appointment made for the toll these beds will take on your back. If I hadn't prepaid for my room I would have left after the first night and shaved Alonso's beard on my way out; maybe it would have made him feel less powerful thus, making him nicer.
