A Review of Avista Adventist Hopsital

The comments about not taking people without insurance isn't totally accurate. I was seen immediately. I was having a reaction to Bactrim, rash all over my body. I was prescribed this antibiotic over a week before i had a serious reaction. Aside from splotches on my skin I wouldn't fit the bill of an emergency situation. When i informed the receptionist i had no insurance, she only asked if i could pay a small amount...and even then, had i not even answered her, i am almost certain they would have given me the same treatment as anyone with or without insurance. I was put in a room, with two different nurses wanting/willing to help me get well. The doctor i saw, Doc Wu, was very gentle, considerate and informative. I felt anxious, but his presence was comforting. Both nurses were great. I'm pretty picky with customer service, and at no time did i feel rushed, hurried, or unwanted. The bill may shock me, but this review is about Hospitality and not cost. And if you are worried about being turned away when you are clearly in fear and distress for your health, this place will most certainly treat you and get you well to the best of their abilities.
