We just arrived tonight late and are quite shocked...

We just arrived tonight late and are quite shocked about the quality Hilton is offering in Venice. The booked room is old, cheesy and the furniture is worn out. Everything is kind of sticky, out of time or broke. We talked to the reception and they did send us maintanance and house keeping. The staff is really friendly but apart from fixing a few things they can not change the overall experience. We booked Hilton in expectation of a certain service and quality level for our family visit of four nights and would definitely not recommend this branch. We will update the next days concerning breakfast etc.

UPDATE: The breakfast under corona circumstances worked out to be perfect. Four stars.

We also went twice to the Aromi a la carte restaurant. Perfect quality, great service! Five stars.

The executive lounge offered a good varity of snacks and drinks, sadly it was flooded with mosquitos. Alive and dead. Dozens of them crushed at the walls. Not very nice and there are technical ways to affoid that. Maybe Hilton wants me to feel uncomfortable at the lounge?! Three stars.

The Hilton shuttle does not run in the afternoon before 6.p.m., exact that time when I normaly come back from sightseeing. Two stars.

In general we appreciated the service attitude of the staff a lot! That is why I change my stars from one to two. But at the end the room, the main reason why I chose Hilton, was too disappointing. Sadly the reception could not or wanted not offer us an unpaid or paid alternative even if the house was really empty.

Under the bottum line, friends stayed at the Hyatt Centric at the same time for less money in a super modern family suite with free on demand shuttle even from and to the airport. Considering the fact that I also have a Hyatt status, maybe I should have booked diffrent.
