NJM used to have excellent roadside assistance. No...

NJM used to have excellent roadside assistance. Not anymore. They switched to a cheaper alternative; a service vendor called Quest Towing Services (of St. Johns, MI) which provides an automated service and live reps (if you can figure out how to reach them). Both options don't work well. The automated service kept failing. If you opt to provide your location via GPS, they send you a text with a link that finds your exact location, however the call was terminated a moment after my location was found. I called back to go through the steps again and it ended the call again. It's not supposed to end the call. The automated system said to stay on the line and I held up my end of it. Fast forward to finally reaching a live rep which took some doing. This was one of the few absolute worst calls in my life. It ranks up there with Comcast's poor contractor service. The whole purpose of the call is to arrange for roadside assistance because I'm stranded with a car that won't start and a I'm a good distance from home. No exaggeration, the rep took over an HOUR to collect my info to then finally start researching tow companies only to tell me none were open. Seriously? It wasn't that late in the day. And towing is typically a 24 hour service. Then I got disconnected from the call and she called back 20 minutes later to again tell me that no trucks were available. Also throughout the entire call, there was this strange delay of 5 seconds where I would hear what I just finished saying. I never did get that tow from Quest. My friend offered to let me use their AAA service which worked out very normally. The next morning the same Quest rep called me. You might think, oh that's nice of her to check up on me... well I ignored the call because I was busy at the moment (and I wasn't in the mood to talk to this poor excuse for a rep), then she proceeded to call me back 10 more times IN A ROW. That's psychotic!! One or two calls plus a voicemail, that's normal. 11 plus voicemail, not normal. Needless to say, I've signed up with a different roadside service provider. Oh how you changed NJM!
